Investigators to probe Kent plane crash that killed five

LONDON (AFP) — Investigators were on Monday to probe what caused a small twin-engined jet to crash in Kent, killing all five passengers on board and destroying a house.

The plane crashed into a house in Farnborough at approximately 2:30 pm (1330 GMT) on Sunday. There were no fatalities in the house, though two people were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for shock.

Investigators from the Air Accidents Investigation Branch began probing the site of the crash on Sunday, and would be "investigating all aspects of the accident", a spokesman for the Department for Transport said.

"No survivors were found but I can confirm that there were no people found in the houses," fire brigade spokesman Jim Bascran said in Farnborough.
