Totti aiming for Man Utd second leg

ROME (AFP) — AS Roma talisman Francesco Totti is hoping to be fit for his team's Champions League quarter-final, second leg against Manchester United at Old Trafford, his personal trainer said Monday.

Totti injured a thigh muscle in Saturday's 1-1 Serie A draw at Cagliari and is due to miss Tuesday's first leg at Rome's Stadio Olimpico.

It's a big blow to Roma, who were dismantled 8-3 on aggregate by United at the same stage last season, but Vito Scala says Totti is already working towards his return to action.

And he defended the Roma captain for not coming off when he was hurt against Cagliari.
