Rosicky reports knee injury improvement

PRAGUE (AFP) — The Czech Republic's injured captain Tomas Rosicky announced Wednesday an improvement to the knee problem which has cast a major doubt over his Euro 2008 participation.

"My injury has improved a bit but I must still undergo rehabilitation," the Arsenal midfield star said on his website.

"I do not want to pre-empt what the further prognosis will be, I will know that when I have started training. I still do not have a clear time frame for taking part in preparations, that will become clear in the coming days," he added.

Rosicky's state of health is being closely followed in his homeland, where he has been cleared by his club to continue his recovery.

The 27-year-old has been sidelined by a painful inflammation at the back of his knee...
