Nigeria's Peter to face Vitali but looking for Klitschko double

NEW YORK (AFP) — Nigerian fighter Samuel Peter will defend his World Boxing Council heavyweight title in October against Vitali Klitschko and he hopes to set up a title unification showdown with Wladimir Klitschko.
The World Boxing Council announced the fight Friday, pitting the 27-year-old "Nigerian Nightmare" against the retired former champion from Ukraine who is hoping to be elected mayor of Kiev on May 25 but will fight Peter regardless.
No site or date was announced, but ESPN reported October 4 or 11 were the likeliest dates and also that Peter would fight a title defense in July before facing the elder Klitschko brother, who has not fought in 3 1/2 years.
