Ear infection likely to sideline Cavaliers' Ben Wallace

CLEVELAND, Ohio (AFP) — The Cleveland Cavaliers will likely be without center Ben Wallace for game three of their National Basketball Association playoff series aginst Boston on Saturday.

The Cavaliers, who trail in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semi-final series 2-0, said Friday that Wallace has a viral inner ear infection as well as allergies.

Wallace left early in the first quarter of Thursday's 89-73 game two loss in Boston complaining of dizziness.

The former Defensive Player of the Year staggered as he left the court with 8:20 left in the first quarter, having signalled that he wanted to leave the game.

He was helped to the locker room and didn't return.
