PORT OF SPAIN (AFP) — Jamaican sprint sensation Usain Bolt has turned in another superb 100m performance, clocking 9.92sec to win the title at the Hampton International Games athletics meeting.

The time, which came on Saturday with a following wind of 0.6m/sec, was the fastest ever legal 100m in Trinidad and Tobago.

It came two weeks after Bolt posted the second-fastest 100m time in history of 9.76sec at the Jamaica International Invitation in Kingston on May 3.

Bolt, 21, separated himself from the field at the halfway stage, and by the 75-metre mark, the engines were shutting down.

The 2007 World Championships 200m silver medallist easily outpaced his rivals. Americans Mike Rodgers and John Capel were second and third in 10.07 and 10.12.
