LONDON (AFP) — Britain's David Haye has launched an astonishing attack on heavyweight boxers by claiming the division is "one fat guy fighting an even fatter guy."
The undisputed cruiserweight champion, who is expected to face IBF and WBO king Wladimir Klitschko next year, claims the standard at heavyweight level is a disgrace.
The 27-year-old, whose next bout is likely to be with former world heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, said: "I'll fight two top 10 heavyweights and obliterate them. I'll show the world what heavyweight boxing really can be.
"At the moment you have one fat guy fighting an even fatter guy for the world title. It's a disgrace.
