PARIS (AFP) — Venus Williams has made a habit of converting her French Open flops into Wimbledon gold and the American is determined to rediscover her Midas touch at the All England Club in July.
Three of Williams's four Wimbledon wins have been achieved in the immediate aftermath of a demoralising first week setback in Paris.
After losing in third round here to Italy's Flavia Pennetta in the gathering Paris gloom on Friday night, the 27-year-old believes she can turn the disappointment to her advantage.
"I get extremely upset about the result, and then I work even harder," said Williams as she explained the source of her inspiration for the next Grand Slam tournament of the season.
