Mosley receives Toyota and Ferrari backing

MONTREAL (AFP) — Max Mosley, the president of motorsport's world governing body FIA, has received backing from Toyota Motorsport and the Ferrari Formula One team following his vote of confidence in the wake of a sex scandal.
Mosley won a vote of confidence in Paris on Monday that allows him to retain his position until October 2009 although lurid revelations about his private life that have hampered him for months.
Japanese manufacturer Toyota issued a statement on Wednesday on the successful vote, saying: "Toyota Motorsport accepts the decision. Now that FIA members have expressed their point of view, we hope the world of motorsport will not be disturbed by the scandal, controversy or negative publicity.
