LONDON (AFP) — Sharon Osbourne has quit her role as a judge on the popular ITV talent show The X Factor, it was announced on Friday.
Osbourne -- who appeared on the hit show for four years -- declined to say why she had decided to leave, but there had been reports about disagreements with fellow judge Danni Minogue.
Calling the experience "an exciting ride", the 55-year-old Osbourne thanked the viewers and producer and fellow judge Simon Cowell.
Commenting on Osbourne's departure, an ITV spokesman said: "She has been a tremendous judge and mentor on the programme but we respect her wish to leave and wish her the very best with her future projects."
He said it was too early to say whether or not the show would be looking for a replacement.
