Dixon stretches IndyCar lead with Texas triumph

FORT WORTH, Texas (AFP) — New Zealand's Scott Dixon continued his dominant 2008 form Saturday with a victory under the floodlights in IndyCar racing's Bombardier Learjet 550.
Dixon started from pole position and claimed his third race of the season - his first since his triumph in the fabled Indianapolis 500.
The 27-year-old capitalize on a late crash involving Marco Andretti and 2007 Rookie of the Year Ryan Hunter-Reay to cross the finish line as an Indy Racing League race ended under caution for the second week in a row.
After Dixon passed Andretti with six laps to go, Hunter-Reay - who was in third - collided with the 21-year-old Andretti on lap 224, causing both racers to hit the wall. Andretti finished 19th, while Hunter-Reay was 20th.
