Milan get Drogba go-ahead

ROME (AFP) — Chelsea have told AC Milan they can start contract talks with Didier Drogba - but Andriy Shevchenko is definitely not for sale, the Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani said on Sunday.

"Chelsea have given us the authorisation to open talks with Drogba," he told La Gazzetta Sportiva, but added that "Chelsea say Andriy cannot be sold."

Last week Galliani revealed that Milan had held talks with Stamford Bridge chief executive Peter Kenyon, with a view to bringing the two players to the San Siro.

The Ivory Coast international - who in his biography described Milan as the "club all players dream of signing for" - is not the only striker who could be on their way to the Italian giants.
