Husband of British singer Amy Winehouse faces jail

LONDON (AFP) — The husband of British Grammy award-winning singer Amy Winehouse faces a jail sentence after admitting attacking a pub landlord and perverting the course of justice, authorities revealed on Monday.
Blake Fielder-Civil, 26, admitted attacking the 36-year-old landlord of a pub in the trendy district of Hoxton in east London in June 2006.
Three other men also admitted perverting the course of justice during a week of pre-trial legal argument at Snaresbrook Crown Court, where Winehouse frequently attended hearings to support her husband.
Fielder-Civil will remain in jail until he is sentenced.
The pub landlord, James King, has pleaded not guilty to perverting the course of justice and will go on trial Tuesday.
