Lee McQueen tastes victory in 'The Apprentice'
0 Comments | AFP, June, 2008
LONDON (AFP) — Lee McQueen, a 30-year-old recruitment sales manager, was declared the winner of the BBC reality show "The Apprentice".
McQueen, the son of a milkman, was the only candidate not to have been questioned in the boardroom through the duration of the show, and was chosen by Alan Sugar for the 100,000-pound job despite having been caught for lying on his CV.
The final task saw the four finalists -- McQueen, Helene Speight, Alex Wotherspoon and Claire Young -- given a week to launch a male fragrance, and McQueen faced off with Young for Sugar's final thumbs-up.
"Claire you have some great attributes and Lee you're very convincing," the businessman said.
"You are very, very, very convincing. I've concluded ... Lee you're hired."
