Riot of colour and flimsy fabrics at Milan menswear

MILAN, Italy (AFP) — Italy's iconic fashion houses threw out a riot of colour and brace of flimsy flowing fabrics at this week's spring-summer catwalk shows for men.

In linen, cotton or satin, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana placed their bets on comfy ample pants gathered and tied at the waist, with straight legs and cuffs and dressed up for evenings with satin edging along the sides.

Dolce&Gabbana went for fresh summer shades in sky-blue and white to highlight poolside tans and threw out a black sweater with a white pistol on the front, which then reappeared as a chest-flapping jewel.

Donatella Versace too went for a fluid look for her ever-so-manly men.
