Son of ex-Israeli PM Sharon out of jail

RAMLE, Israel (AFP) — A son of former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon was released from prison on Wednesday after serving four months for illegal financing of his father's electoral campaigns.
Omri Sharon, 43, with a bag slung on his shoulder, was greeted by his brother Gilad outside the Maasiyahu prison in the town of Ramle, east of Tel Aviv.
The former MP was sentenced last year to seven months in prison, a term that was later reduced to four months for good behaviour.
