Red Sox silent on Ramirez's reported shoving match

ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (AFP) — The Boston Red Sox declined to comment Monday on a report that slugger Manny Ramirez pushed a team official to the ground over the weekend.
The Providence Journal reported that Ramirez was angry that Boston's traveling secretary Jack McCormick would not be able to fulfill his ticket request for Saturday night's game at the Houston Astros.
After they argued, Ramirez shoved McCormick to the ground, the newspaper said.
Ramirez, who was involved in an incident with Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis in the dugout earlier this month, reportedly apologized to McCormick the following day and told the Providence Journal that the incident was "over."
