CALGARY, Canada (AFP) — Todd Bertuzzi, who once scored 46 goals with the Vancouver Canucks, signed a contract with the Calgary Flames on Monday.
Bertuzzi, 33, registered 14 goals and 26 assists with the Anaheim Ducks last season, but was released so the Ducks could re-sign restricted free agent Corey Perry.
Bertuzzi had signed a two-year, eight million dollar deal with Anaheim last summer.
Canada's Bertuzzi has played for 12 seasons in the NHL, totaling 240 goals and 340 assists with the Ducks, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers and Vancouver Canucks.
The two-time All-Star scored a career-high 46 goals and registered 97 points with the Canucks during the 2002-03 season.
