English Twenty20 cricket winners to enter Stanford Series

LONDON (AFP) — English cricket's Twenty20 Cup winners will be invited to play in the latest creation of American billionaire Sir Allen Stanford, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) chief executive David Collier said Friday.

Stanford has already announced a 10 million pounds winner-takes-all Twenty20 match between England and a West Indies select XI and now he is planning a Stanford Super Series in the Caribbean.

Kent, Essex, Durham and Middlesex, who take part in the English finals on Saturday, will also be competing for the chance to join the Super Series in which Trinidad and Tobago will play in matches against England and the Stanford Super Stars.
