Pirates outfielder Nady apparently headed to Yankees

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania (AFP) — The Pittsburgh Pirates traded outfielder Xavier Nady and lefthanded hurler Damaso Marte on Friday, reportedly to the New York Yankees.
In return, the Yankees will send righthander Ross Ohlendorf and three minor leaguers - outfielder Jose Tabata, righthander George Kontos and lefthander Phil Coke - to Pittsburgh.
Nady was taken out of Friday's 6-5 loss to the San Diego Padres in the second inning for undisclosed reasons.
The deal is pending medical reports on all the players involved, Pirates general manager Neal Huntington later confirmed.
