Sunni rebel group says two more Iran police executed: TV

DUBAI (AFP) — An Iranian Sunni rebel group announced it has executed two more policemen from a group of 16 men whom it said were taken hostage in June, Al-Arabiya satellite television reported on Sunday.

The Dubai-based channel said it had received a telephone call from a Jundullah (Soldiers of God) spokesman and broadcast archive footage of masked fighters preparing to kill another two blindfolded hostages.

The spokesman threatened to carry out two more such killings each week unless Iranian authorities agreed to their demands for the release of 200 of the group's detained fighters.
