Liverpool's Leto suffers work permit blow

LIVERPOOL, England (AFP) — Liverpool winger Sebastian Leto will be forced to leave Anfield on loan after the Argentine winger was refused a work permit, team manager Rafael Benitez said Monday.
Leto, 21, made four appearances for Liverpool last season while on an Italian passport but that was later revoked by the Italian Government.
Liverpool then applied for a work permit and Benitez insisted he would select Leto on a more regular basis.
But the British Government has turned down Leto's application and he will have to go on loan to continue playing, with Olympiakos a likely destination.
Benitez is unhappy with the decision and he said: "The system needs to change, clearly.
