Paris Hilton causes a stir in Copenhagen

COPENHAGEN (AFP) — US socialite Paris Hilton attracted huge crowds when she visited the Tivoli Gardens amusement park in the Danish capital on Tuesday evening.

Surrounded by bodyguards and hordes of photographers, Hilton, 27, was swarmed as she signed autographs and handed out pictures of herself and handbags from her new range.

Taking the time to chat to the young crowd and stopping at times to pose for photographs, she told AFP she wanted to "try out the rides and have a good time."

Hilton arrived in Copenhagen on Monday to promote her new collection of handbags at an international fashion house that opens Wednesday.
