Favre works out with new Jets teammates

NEW YORK (AFP) — Brett Favre passed his physical and worked out with the New York Jets for the first on Saturday.
Favre took the field to practise with his new teammates for the first time since being acquired from the Green Bay Packers Wednesday.
New York coach Eric Mangini announced Saturday that Favre will start the Jets' second National Football League pre-season game against the Washington Redskins on August 16.
Favre was traded for a conditional draft pick and was introduced by the Jets at a conference held prior to the team's pre-season opener against the Cleveland Browns on Thursday. Favre was on the sidelines, watching the Jets defeat the Browns 24-20.
