Jordan to free killers of Israeli soldiers August 20

AMMAN (AFP) — Four Jordanian prisoners released by Israel last year to complete their life sentences in the kingdom will be freed next week, police said on Thursday.
The prisoners were sentenced to life in jail in Israel for killing two Israeli soldiers in November 1990, four years before the two neighbouring states signed a peace treaty.
"According to the law, the four prisoners will complete their sentences on August 20 and they will be released immediately," police spokesman Mohammed Khatib told AFP.
"The ministry of justice has informed the Israeli authorities of the decision."
