Ochoa, Sorenstam top LPGA Ottawa leaderboard but Koreans lurk

OTTAWA, Canada (AFP) — Lorena Ochoa and Annika Sorenstam top the leaderboard at the Canadian Women's Open but they will need to hold off a Korean blitz to go home with the trophy.

There are a half dozen South Koreans lurking immediately behind Mexico's Ochoa and Sweden's Sorenstam at the 2.25 million dollar event at the Ottawa Hunt and Gun Club course.

Ochoa went out with Sorenstam already having posted an impressive round and went one better, carding a six-under-par 66 to take a one-stroke lead.

Sorenstam is second after a 65 with South Koreans Hee-Won Han, Meena Lee, and Se Ri Pak another stroke back.

Making her return to the LPGA Tour, Michelle Wie, 18, struggled late and settled for a 75.
