Murray scotches talk of irregularities on Cuellar sale

GLASGOW (AFP) — Rangers chairman Sir David Murray has claimed some supporters were trying to cause trouble by saying there were irregular goings-on concerning the transfer of Carlos Cuellar.
Spaniard Cuellar moved to English Premiership club Aston Villa for 7.8 million pounds on a four-year deal on Tuesday.
The Rangers Supporters Trust however warned Murray there could be a demonstration against the sale of Cuellar at Saturday's Scottish Premier League game against Hearts.
Ibrox chief Murray accused those who suggest there is a conspiracy behind the sale of the club's star defender of trying to cause "mayhem" at Ibrox.
