Alonso would be 'perfect' for Gunners: Cesc

LONDON (AFP) — Cesc Fabregas believes fellow Spaniard Xabi Alonso would be a "perfect" fit if the Gunners could tempt him into joining them from arch-rivals Liverpool, according to British media reports Sunday.

Cesc, currently sidelined through injury and badly missed in Saturday's loss to Fulham, believes Alonso has that "something special" to bring trophies to the Emirates.

"What can I say? He is my friend and apart from that he is a great professional, a great passer of the ball, he works hard defensively, he's scoring goals now, he's experienced and he is only 26."
