Goodell paves way for Pacman's return to NFL

NEW YORK (AFP) — Adam 'Pacman' Jones was officially reinstated by the National Football League on Thursday, paving the way for him to join the Dallas Cowboys.
League commissioner Roger Goodell reinstated the Dallas cornerback on Thursday, making the troubled player eligible for the start of the regular NFL season.
"Adam has worked hard to get to this point, but he also knows that there is still a lot of work ahead of him," Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said.
"He is fully aware of the opportunity that he has been given, and he knows that this is an ongoing process."
Goodell could have chose to bar the 24-year-old from returning to the league.
