Hollywood sleuth guilty of bugging ex-wife of billionaire

LOS ANGELES (AFP) — The private investigator convicted of a Hollywood wiretapping scandal was on Friday found guilty of bugging the phones of billionaire Kirk Kerkorian's ex-wife.

Anthony Pellicano, who was found guilty in a separate case involving Hollywood celebrities earlier this year, was accused in his latest trial of tapping the phone of Kerkorian's third wife, Lisa Bonder.

Entertainment lawyer Terry Christensen stood as a co-defendant in the case and was also found guilty with Pellicano of federal wiretapping and conspiracy charges at the US District Court in Los Angeles.

Pellicano and Christensen, both 64, face up to 10 years in prison and 500,000 dollars in fines when they are sentenced on November 17.
