Kilmarnock go top after Tannadice triumph

GLASGOW (AFP) — Kilmarnock roared to the top of the Scottish Premier League with a clinical 2-0 victory over Dundee United at Tannadice on Saturday.

With Celtic facing Rangers in the Glasgow derby on Sunday, Killie took advantage to move into first place.

Gavin Skelton capped his first start for the Ayrshire side since signing from Gretna with a goal just before the interval and a fine finish to a good move by Danny Invincibile in the 58th minute doubled the visitors' lead.

Hearts moved up to second with a 2-1 win over Hamilton at New Douglas Park.

Goals from Marius Zaliukas and Andrew Driver secured the three points. The hosts hit back through substitute Derek Lyle late on but it was not enough to prevent them from slumping to their second...
