Fellaini signs record Everton transfer

LIVERPOOL, England (AFP) — Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini has signed a five-year contract with Everton, his club Standard Liege and the Premier League side announced on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old agreed a deal worth 15 million pounds (18.5 million euros) which makes him the most expensive transfer in Belgian footballing history and sets a new club record for Everton.
The deal was completed leading up to the midnight transfer deadline and announced in the early hours, and was preceded by Louis Saha's arrival from Manchester United and Carlo Nash from Wigan.
