New questions emerge over girl's grisly murder in Israel

JERUSALEM (AFP) — A lie detector test has raised new doubts over claims a murdered four-year-old girl was dumped in an Israeli river by her grandfather and her mother, who were in a romantic relationship, police said on Wednesday.
Described by police as "one of the most shocking in the country's history," the gruesome case of the girl named Rose has caused outrage in Israel where it has dominated the news for the past week.
Police on Wednesday suggested that Ronny Ron, the girl's grandfather, had lied about how he disposed of the body.
"The answers given on Tuesday during a lie detector test raises serious doubts," police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told AFP.
