Pakistan border attack 'counter-productive': foreign ministry

ISLAMABAD (AFP) — Pakistan said Wednesday that an attack on its soil by international troops that killed at least 15 civilians was "counter-productive" to joint efforts at fighting terrorism.

"Such actions are counter-productive and certainly do not help our joint efforts to fight terrorism," the foreign ministry said in a statement.

"On the contrary, they undermine the very basis of cooperation and may fuel the fire of hatred and violence that we are trying to extinguish."
