Boxer Hatton to be trained by Mayweather senior

LONDON (AFP) — Ricky Hatton will be trained by Floyd Mayweather senior for his fight against IBF light-welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi in Las Vegas on November 22.

Mayweather snr, father to Floyd junior - who beat Hatton in their WBC welterweight title bout last year - will take charge of the British boxer's training schedule in Manchester later this month.

Mayweather will be assisted by close friend Lee Beard, who has been a key member of Team Hatton for more than year.

Hatton's bout against Malignaggi will be the first of the 29-year-old's professional career without former trainer Billy Graham, with whom he parted company last month.
