Tampa tries to join select US sporting circle

ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (AFP) — Tampa Bay is attempting to become the fifth American sports market to win a World Series, Stanley Cup and Super Bowl title.
The Tampa Bay Lightning won the National Hockey League's Stanley Cup trophy in 2004 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the National Football League's Super Bowl title in 2003.
Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon said being in the World Series means more recognition and respect for the Major League Baseball club which is trying to cap one of the most impressive turnarounds in US sports history by beating the Philadelphia Phillies in the 104th edition of the World Series.
