It's not 'yes we can' it's 'we will deliver', says Chicago

LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AFP) — Chicago bid chief Pat Ryan declared on Wednesday that his team's catchphrase was 'we will deliver' should they win the right to host the 2016 Summer Olympics and was inspired by President Barack Obama's campaign slogan last year of 'yes we can'.

Ryan was speaking after him and his team had been through an arduous presentation and question and answer session with 90-odd members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

They were first up ahead of their three rivals - Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro and Madrid - for the race to win the hosting which will be voted on in Copenhagen on October 2.
