Struggling Red Sox' Dice-K to skip next start

BOSTON, Massachusetts (AFP) — Red Sox hurler Daisuke Matsuzaka will miss his next start with weakness in his right shoulder and could end up on the disabled list if his struggles on the mound continue.
Red Sox manager Terry Francona said an MRI exam showed no structural damage to Matsuzaka's throwing shoulder but that there was a weakness, saying: "It's going to have to be addressed."
Francona had already said that Matsuzaka would miss his next expected start on Thursday, when veteran John Smoltz is due back from injury rehabilitation.
"What we decided on going forward is he's not going to make his next start," Francona said, adding that he had no official announcement regarding placing Matsuzaka on the disabled list.
