Army, EPA Sign Watershed Management Agreement

WASHINGTON, DC (ENS) — --> The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Water and the U.S. Army’s Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works have entered into an agreement to establish a collaborative watershed partnership to accomplish sustainable economic development, protection, and restoration.

The agreement was signed on November 19 but only made public on Monday.

Representatives of the two agencies said they intend to work together to try to resolve conflicts and seek consensus on watershed issues "in a public, inclusive and collaborative manner."
