Exelon Added to Dow Jones Sustainability Index

CHICAGO, Illinois (ENS) — --> Energy giant Exelon has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index. Launched in 1999, the Index represents the top 20 percent of companies in each sector, from the largest 600 North American companies, who rank the highest in terms of sustainability - economic, social, and environmental performance - based on an extensive evaluation of their performance on 91 parameters.

Other companies named to the index include General Electric, Goldman Sachs, Johnson & Johnson and Microsoft. Exelon is a massive electricity generation and distribution company based in Chicago, with annual revenues in excess of $15 billion.
