My Life as a Web Site
Newsweek, March, 2001
At least the cast members of "Survivor" get to sleep off-camera. Tanya Corrin never did. When her boyfriend, Josh Harris, 39, founder of the Internet research firm Jupiter Communications, asked her if she would expose her life for the sake of art, she agreed. Starting in November, 32 cameras in their New York loft recorded every second of the couple's lives, and WeLiveInPublic.com soon had a cult following. But something went awry. Somewhere around day 78, their live-in relationship ended, although the video continued to stream. While Corrin, 32, may not have liked sharing every aspect of her personal life in front of the camera, she doesn't seem to mind talking about it. NEWSWEEK's Laura Fording spoke to her to find out what happened.
