At this point in the race for the White House, nobody knows anything. Except this: the 2008 campaign will be the most expensive yet. Nine months into the hunt, presidential hopefuls have together raised more than $420 million and spent more than $265 million, both records. But who's burning through cash the fastest? (Congrats, Mitt!) And what are they spending it on? (Doughnuts, mostly.)

Rudy Giuliani: Hasn't spent a dime on TV ads, but dropped $62,386 to rent D.C.'s Hard Rock Cafe for a fund-raiser

Mitt Romney: For Iowa Straw Poll, spent $33,387 on BBQ, $6,162 on a climbing wall and two "moon bounces" for kids

John McCain: His campaign is $1.7 million in debt: not good. Spending $972 at Dunkin' Donuts: not helping.

Fred Thompson: All those quarters...
