Resolution Reached on Radio Tower

Neighbors invariably rank among the headaches of property ownership, right up there with termites and taxes. The neighborhood feud is more often than not solved when one of the participants picks up and moves.
So last month in the Bronx, in New York City, it was a pleasant turn of events when Fordham University and the New York Botanical Garden, acrimonious across-the-street landowners since 1994, found a way to solve a long-running spat over a radio tower.
What was supposed to be a 480-foot transmitter for the university's National Public Radio affiliate ended up being a little more than half that tall after the city halted construction 10 years ago amid complaints from botanical garden officials and visitors.
