Chris Connelly emerged as one of the icons of the industrial scene during the 80s and early 90s, playing a leading role with rock antagonists The Revolting Cocks , Murder Inc. and Pigface as well as being a member of MINISTRY. Connelly later left the noise-terrorist scene to release a number of solo albums which had more in common with the Bowie and Scott Walker of the 60s, as he developed into a true songwriter.
He was born Christopher John Connelly in Edinburgh, and began singing in the school choir to escape sports classes. His first musical experiments were inspired by the content of the John Peel radio show on the UK’s BBC Radio 1.
