Neil F. Brennan, 82, of Rosemont, retired professor of English at Villanova University and decorated World War II veteran, died of pneumonia Feb. 4 at Bryn Mawr Terrace.
Before retiring in 1987, Dr. Brennan taught in the English department at Villanova for 27 years. His specialty was modern English literature. He had previously taught at Cornell University, Auburn University, and the University of Illinois. He published a book on Anthony Powell, author of the 12-volume novel A Dance to the Music of Time . Dr. Brennan was also coauthor of a yet-to-be-published bibliography of the works of English writer Graham Greene.
