Ciccarone gives $1 million

for new East Goshen YMCA

A West Chester businessman, John Ciccarone, has donated $1 million to a capital campaign to built an 80,000-square-foot YMCA in East Goshen, officials of West Chester Area YMCA announced last week.

The organization plans to close its West Chester YMCA and build a new one on a 14.9-acre tract at Airport Road and Paoli Pike. The new facility, which will include a teen center, child-care rooms and two pools, will be named the Norma Ciccarone Family Center in honor of Ciccarone's late wife.
