Southern Regional High School in Manhawkin defeated four-time defending champion Pemberton High School in the Southern Region Consumer Bowl held at Burlington County College.

Southern earned the right to face the winners of the central and northern regions in the state finals on May 23 in Trenton.

Two Burlington County residents have been honored for academic excellence at Syracuse University

Kevin Sze of Cinnaminson, a freshman majoring in civil engineering andTimothy Arlow of Southampton, a senior majoring in bioengineering, were honored by the Programs Rooted in Developing Excellence Program for academic and leadership excellence in the L.C.
