GSI Commerce gets contract to manage NFL Shop

GSI Commerce Inc. said it has a multi-year contract with the National Football League to manage NFL Shop, the league's e-commerce and merchandise catalog division.

Terms were not disclosed.

King of Prussia-based GSI said in addition to hats, jerseys and other fan paraphernalia, the NFLShop.com site will include paid search, affiliate marketing, advertising with comparison shopping engines and e-mail marketing.

GSI also provides Web-based e-commerce service for Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League and NASCAR.

The company made a $2.7 million profit last year on revenues of $440.4 million.
