Newsmakers | Suit over Stapp-Kid Rock sex tape tossed
0 Comments | Philadelphia Inquirer, The, April, 2006 | by Tirdad Derakhshani
The anonymous woman who is suing a vid distributor for invasion of privacy over the '99 Scott Stapp-Kid Rock sex tape - in which she insists she played the starring role among a gaggle of other so-called strippers (sure she's disgusted by the blue film, but it's only fair that we recognize her marquee status) - is going home empty-handed.
Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Gerald Hubbart ruled that Jane Doe cannot go ahead with the suit if she insists on remaining anonymous. (But, still, we recognize her essential Boldfaceness.) Her attorney said Doe, who says she's been deeply stigmatized (in an anonymous way), was promised that the tape would be kept private.
