Temple University's search for a new president to replace the controversial David Adamany is now down to two out-of-state finalists, after a local candidate thought to be the prohibitive favorite withdrew himself from consideration.
John A. Fry - the former chief operating officer at the University of Pennsylvania and currently the president of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster - said yesterday that he was "incredibly flattered" to be approached by Temple, but that he had decided to remain at Franklin and Marshall because his work there "is not complete."
